Capt. G.U. Khan commenced his sea going career in April 1968 in Pakistan National Shipping Corporation. On obtaining second mate certificate of competency joined Olympic Maritime Greece serving in Tankers. After Chief Mate C.O.C he joined Gulf East Ship Management Ltd (GESL) and served on General Cargo and Bulk Carriers. He obtained his Masters in 1980 and assumed command in 1981. Southamton to do Manned Model Ship Handling course for large vessel and then he remained on Panamax Bulk carriers for his remaining sea going career. He was called ashore in 1988 and made Fleet Personnel Manager of GESL. After gaining this experience in Marine world Capt. G.U. Khan decided to venture in a quest of something of his own. Keeping high standards of ethics and efficiency he launched Jupiter Marine Services in 1993.
